I AM VESTED & INVESTED

VESTED: As a parent I have a vested interest in the success of our schools.

o   My oldest child graduated from Whitewater High School in 2026.

o   My middle child is a sophomore at Whitewater High School.

o   My youngest child is a second grader at Inman Elementary School.

o   I have had children experience every single grade level in Fayette County Schools from pre-K through 12th.

o   I will have children in our schools until 2037. I am not going anywhere anytime soon!

INVESTED: I am and have been deeply invested in our schools.

o   We moved to Fayette County in 2018 and my kids have attended our schools since that time.

o   I have been on the PTO board at Inman Elementary School for the past three and a half years, serving as president since 2024.

o   I have served on School Council at Inman, have participated in Whitewater High School’s PTSO, and have served as a parent representative on the Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Board.

MY WHY

Being in the schools day after day, sitting through the Board of Education meetings, and seeing how the Board has been failing some of our students, parents, and faculty lit the fire in me to run for Board of Education. I see the incredible things our teachers do every single day, but I also see a lack of support from the Board and teachers afraid to speak their minds for fear of retaliation. I see board members who look down their noses at their community instead of listening to those they’re supposed to serve. 

I’m running for Board of Education because I believe we can do better. I want to help put practical policies in place that support our teachers and give parents a real voice. I want to bring teachers and families back to the same table — focused on one shared goal: the success of every student in Fayette County.

I have the determination to keep showing up and doing the work.

If you elect me to the Board of Education, I will listen. I will ask hard questions. And I will fight for policies that actually help the people in the classrooms.

IT'S NOT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEN STUDENTS ARE KEPT IN THE CENTER

I know that sometime the inclination is to vote down the ballot by party affiliation. However, there is a reason that judicial races are non-partisan. And in most parts of the county, school board races are also non-partisan.

As School board members, just as with judges, we are entrusted to show no partiality to any group of students based on political affiliation. Figuring out the balance of uniformity and creative leeway to teachers and administrators to make sure we maintain high standards for all schools while giving those in the schools the freedom to innovate and understand what will motivate and engage their student population.

My team of advisors is made up of both democrats and republicans. We may not always agree on “political” matters, but they have joined me and spent countless hours on this campaign because they know that when it comes to our kids, we are in full agreement. They trust my mind, my commitment, and most of all, my heart.

In short, there is no room for LEFT or RIGHT when we keep our kids CENTERED.
